Fort Wayne has significant and meaningful German heritage. Germanfest began in the early 1980's intending to bring a German folk festival to town to celebrate and honor that deeply rooted history. Since then, Germanfest has become a highlight of the summer in Fort Wayne, kicking off the festival season each year!
