Every summer, Fort Wayne comes alive with the vibrant spirit of German heritage at GermanFest, a beloved tradition since the 1980s. Drawing over 35,000 visitors, this week-long celebration offers authentic German food, beer, lively music, dancing, and unique events like polka lessons, Masskrugstemmen contests, and Wienerdog races. GermanFest blends cultural authenticity with fun, creating unforgettable memories for all ages. Everyone's German at GermanFest!

Familienfest
FamilienFest is a vibrant, family-friendly, free, single-day extension of GermanFest that welcomes more than 4,000 attendees. FamilienFest is the epitome of community engagement. We showcase local vendors through a marketplace, activity stations, and performances; and source much of our traditional German menu from local vendors. Attendees experience traditional German food and drinks, dance to great music, peruse local vendors, enjoy engaging activities and performances, and compete in exciting events. The day is headlined by the crowd-favorite Wienerdog Nationals. It’s a lively, family-friendly celebration of Fort Wayne’s deeply rooted German traditions, offering something exciting and unique for all ages.
